Heat Vs Celtics Game 1 Recap

The picture pretty much sums it up James was getting to the paint early and often with little to no resistance. Some are saying that the series the Celtics were in before going 7 games played a big role in the game but i think if Lebron is playing like this every game the Celtics couldn't beat the Heat with a week off. I'm not usually a Lebron fan but i have to say i am rooting for him to win a ring or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5. Paul and Ray have to do more in making shots and spacing the floor better if they are to make this a good series, and if they can spread the ball better they might have a chance. I'm looking for this game to go no more than 5 games with the Heat getting good rest for the Finals.

Heat vs Pacers

So what most thought was going to be a walk threw in the second round for the Heat might not be so easy. Chris Bosh is now out and will undergo an MRI today to see how long he will be out. Some are saying he might be out the rest of this series and that could be a major road block in their chase for a championship. Bosh was off to a great start controlling  the paint and not letting the Pacers get to the paint. Now the match up favors the Pacers in the post and if the Pacers can continue to move the ball around with great passing then they could make this a very interesting series. I hope this series goes not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 but 7 games....lol had to do it.

Paint the town....Orange!!

Finally after 6 years of MLS being in the great city of Houston our hometown team Dynamo are playing in their own stadium. The BBVA Compass Stadium has brought not only the Dynamo their own field but also what seems to be a new found love for soccer in the Houston community. I for one would catch a game when televised but never had the urge to go watch a game live, but now that this new stadium is here and I see all these passionate fans it makes me interested in what’s going on. Back to the actual game, the Dynamo must have been ready for some home cooking after being on the road for so long and boy do they know how to kick off a new stadium. The Dynamo got the win with a monster goal from 25 yards out by Brad Davis which proved to be the only goal of the game and the eventual game winner. The Stadium was full of rabid fans holding up signs and yelling out “forever orange” as the Dynamo had a little bit more pep in there step playing in front of their home crowd at their home stadium. It was refreshing to see and I can’t wait to make it out the stadium for a Dynamo game. Forever Orange!

Pacquiao on Bradley and a possible Mayweather fight

Lakers bigs coming up short

Kobe was not as good as MJ but then again who is, but with that being said he did play at a higher level than anyone else on his team. Paul and Andrew were playing like this was game number 21 in a 82 games schedule they did not move their feet and were not involved in the game. How as a professional can you come out and be 1 for 10 shooting if you go 1 for 7 then you take it to the hole get fouled and get to the line. Your best player has the FLU and drops 31 points with 6 ast how are you not giving your all when your superstar is?? If i were a Laker fan I would be worried about this team in game 7. Anything can happen in a Game 7.

Chris "The Perv-man" Andersen

Chris "The Bird-man" Andersen will likely sit out game 6 of the Lakers vs Nuggets series because of legal issues. Earlier today Denver PD raided Andersen's home and when that news broke I'm sure everyone thought it was drug related and once i herd what the Police seized I wished it was just drugs. Andersen is rreportedly being investigated by the Douglas County Internet Crimes Against Children unit in Larkspur, Colo. Also according to 9 News Denver Chris Andersen has been excused from all team-related activities indefinitely as he deals with the reported investigation. I hope its not what it seams and no kids were hurt but if its as bad as they say i hope he goes to jail and never comes out.

Flu Game pt. 2

So it looks like we might see "The Flu Game pt.2" starting non other than Kobe "The Black Momba" Bryant. In all honestly who else is qualified enough to follow in Jordan's foot steps than Kobe. Reports are that Kobe has missed shoot around today due to vomiting, abdominal pain, and massive headaches, I guess you could say Kobe will be shitting on boys tonight. I for one cant wait to see Kobe drop 38 or 40 points go on to beat the Heat in the Finals and ride off in the sunset matching Jordan in almost every way. Before I get ahead of myself lets see what he does tonight. This is going to be fun.

Peterson vs Khan II is off

So the rematch to Lamont Peterson and Amir “King” Khan is off….for now. According to ESPN Boxing’s Dan Rafael, Peterson has officially been pulled from the match after testing positive in March for what their saying is high levels of synthetic testosterone. Lamont’s camp says tests were the result of soy pellet injections intended as treatment for the fighter's abnormally low testosterone levels and the resulting physical and mental fatigue. This fight was the follow up to the twos fight in D.C. in which in my opinion Kahn got robbed of his belts by a split decision. Either way you see it this was going to be a good fight and one I was looking forward to.

Astros Marlins go 12

What a tough loss for the Astros as they go down in 12 innings to the Miami Marlins. It was a good game and i have to admit i stayed up for all 12 innings and to see this team play some good ball was refreshing to say the least. Jed Lowrie had the only 2 errors for the Astros and they turned into the 3rd and 4th runs for the Marlins but other than that it was a good game. Jed Lowrie was playing error free ball all season and his first two came at a bad time. I like to see how this team battled back but what is wrong with JD? His swing has developed a stall and his striking out alot more because of it that split half a second hesitation is the difference between a hit and a miss. Don't mistake this loss as a bad one they loss to a team that has won 9 of their last 10 and have started to look more and more like a playoff team, not at all like they looked in the beginning of the season. Root Root Root.

Josh HAM-ilton

What a night for the Texas Ranger not only did he have 4 home runs in one game but he had 4 HOME RUNS in one game. (Sounds so nice you have to say it twice) At what point do you as an opposing pitcher just say OK that's it i am walking this guy the rest of the night? Maybe after the second home run, ok maybe after the 3rd home run? No, well what about the 4th home run in Josh Hamilton's last 6 at bats against the Orioles he has 5 HRs and a double this guy is on fire! What gives this story a twist is the Rangers were going to be ok with letting him walk after this season because they didn't want to pay in the 175 million dollar range for 7 years and now it looks like Josh just made that decision a lot harder. Just for kicks look at these stats so far in the season - He leads the entire MLB in hitting .406 with 14 homers and 36 RBI. That goes along with his .458 on-base percentage, .840 slugging percentage, and 89 total bases. He has hit more home runs by himself then the entire San Diego Padres.

Michael Jordan "The Shot"

Welcome to the show Bryce

Over the weekend Bryce Harper showed up and showed out but the fact that he is living up to the hype and that he was the first rookie to steal home since who knows when was not the talk in fact it was that Cole Hamels drilled him in the top of the 1st. Well it’s not that he got drilled but that Hamels said it outright “yea I threw at him”, and the fact that everyone knows that it was intentional is not the problem but that he was so honest is what got him a 5 game suspension. Later in the club house Hamels said “It was just a welcome to the big leagues type of thing” and in my opinion there is nothing wrong with that. This type of thing is part of the tradition of baseball if you are not going to implement instant replay because it takes away from tradition than why are you going to suspend Hamels for keeping with tradition? It would be a different story if Hamels threw at Harpers head but he drilled Harper in the back away from his head and away from his legs or knees. I think this story is way over hyped and takes away from the fact that he his on fire and has brought the Lebron type of excitement to the MLB. Just look at this post I haven't even talked about Harper its been all about Hamels. Welcome to the show Bryce.

Mayweather vs Cotto Recap

While some people I talked to say this was a boring fight not worth paying for others including myself say this was the best fight of Floyds 43 fight career and as for Cotto he put no doubt in peoples mind that he is one of the top guys in the sport. No one has blooded Mayweather or really got to him like Cotto did although I think Cotto did abandon the jab that was working so well for him and attacked Mayweather on the ropes which is just what Floyd wanted. On the other hand Floyd could have took the easy rout and just out boxed Cotto but he didn’t, in fact Floyd stood in there and made it a fight and drew Cotto into a fight that took away his power. Mayweather took the fight to the corners and made Cotto deliver close punches instead of staying around the middle of the ring where Cotto could have done more damage with stronger more powerful punches. This fight was not only good for the winner, but also the loser credibility wise, and I must say as much as I hate Mayweather for his disrespect of fighters and announcers at times he did apologize and did some PR work as well as put on a good fight. In all this was a great fight and a great card if boxing could put more fights like this together it won’t be long for boxing to be as mainstream and popular as it once was.

Avlarez vs Mosley recap

Nothing less than a really good fight from Alvarez and has defenatly opened the eyes of every boxing fan that may have been on the fence about him. This was his coming out party to the common fight fan, but to the others who have been following this up and comer this fight was nothing new. Alvarez was able to land heavy hard punches pretty much at will as well as take the power punches from Mosely, the same power punches that got him a knock down against pac man and visably hurt Mayweather in their last fight, and never seamed to miss a beat. Alvarez is only 21 years young and has 40 wins 29 by knockout and 1 draw not to mention the other 10-15 fights when he was between the ages of 14-17 fighting as a professional in Mexico but because of the way they keep records of professional fights and where they hold some of the fights those were not included in his 40 win record. For Alvarez to be this young and have that much experience makes him that much better, and wasent there a big hype built around a certen fighter who was 40 and 0 in his carrer also??? Eather way this kid Alvarez is the king of Mexico and the air aperant to De La Hoya with all the right qualities to be a major superstar in the sport, and he already has major sponsership from the likes of Corona and Under Armour. To put it as best I can Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is “Money”.

Another one bites the dust

In the words of BIG "and another one" goes down with an ACL tear, but this time Mariano might be done for good. Rivera is undoubtedly the greatest closer to play baseball and that is what makes this story even worse. Rivera wanted to go out on his own terms and it looks like that wont happen. Reports are that he was catching pop ups in pre game, a ritual he does before every game, and got his foot stuck tearing his ACL. This is not good Yankee fans but either way you guys will be fine, and as for Mariano its too bad it ended this way. Here's to the best to ever do it. Thanks for letting us get a chance to watch greatness.

The Bills might get Young

Reports are out that Vince Young yes UT Vince, Titans Vince, "Dream Team ha ha" Vince is working out for the Buffalo Bills. Will he make the team who knows but if he does it will be interesting non the less to have the leagues smartest QB in Fitzpatrick and possibly the dumbest in Vince.....jk guys it was a joke. Really though you could have 2 of the top overall picks in the 06 draft on one team in Mario Williams and Vince Young. The Bills have gotten better this off season getting a game changer on defense and locking up their play making wide out long term so adding Vince as a situational player for these Bills might be a good move, and dare i say have the makings of a "Dream Team ha ha" just kidding don't get too excited Bills fans after all it is just Vince.

RIP MCA

As you may have herd Adam Yauch aka MCA (pictured above in the middle) had lost his battle with cancer. He was 47 and one of the founding members of The Beastie Boys. He has paved the way and is a hip-hop pioneer as The Beastie Boys were the first major hip-hop group that were "white kids from the burbs". This is a big loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and lets celebrate his life and not dwell on his death. No Sleep Till Brooklyn.

Pacers square up with Magic...FANS!!

At about 2:45am this morning Pacers stars Kyrylo Fesenko and Danny Granger were involved in a verbal shouting match. Kyrylo was outside of club 23 in Orlando when he bumped into someone which turned into a shouting mach and once they realized who Kyrylo played for the mob grew bigger and the taunting got worse so instead of loosing his cool Kyrylo started to walk away, but as we all know that never works. Once the crowd followed Kyrylo across the street a team mate of the Pacer and star of the team Danny Granger came to the aid of his team mate in a rather aggressive fashion. Once the two started shouting back at the mob the police got involved and everyone went home happy..well maybe. Later jokingly the cops said oh they play for the Pacers, well if i would of known that  would of arrested them.

T Sizzled out

Terrell Suggs out for most if not tall of the 2012 season due to an Achilles tendon tear, and i know what your thinking well he is a work out freak and he probably tore it flipping tires or squatting 500 pounds. No, that's where your wrong T Sizzle was on the basketball court playing in a pick up game when he tore his Achilles tendon. Now granted I'm sure he always plays and no doubt its great cardio so I'm sure it was part in some way of his work out but come on man. I guess you can see why hes from "Ball So Hard University".

Say goodbye to the Saints season per Adam Schefter of ESPN Scott Fujita suspended three games, Anthony Hargrove suspended eight games, Will Smith suspended four games, Jonathan Vilma suspended 1year. That my friends is too big a blow for the saints to overcome this season. Not only is the head coach gone for the year but you GM is gone for 6 games your asst coach is gone for 4 games and now some of your best players on defense are gone, and oh by the way you still don’t have Drew Brees signed to the team. Well Saints fans you can always root for the Texans!

Jacoby released by the Texans

Well Texans fans looks like we all got what we wanted Jacoby Jones has been released from the Texans. To me this was a seasons overdue i don't think he should of been back this past season but yet there he was taking the money and dropping the ball. If i could i would like to rewrite a line from the great ESG instead of "Tell Kevin Cato" it is "Tell Jacoby Jones we want our money back" and ill finish that off with an LOL. Besides the news that he is gone the move frees up more cap space and an immediate opening for Keshawn Martin to jump right in and start at least at punt return and maybe the kick returner as well. Don't be surprised if the Texans turn into one of the better punt return teams in the league because we now have a guy who runs north and south instead of east and west. Martin will contribute a ton to the offense even if not at the wide receiver spot because of his ability to give the Texans a short field. No matter what way u cut it this was a good move by the Texans and this franchise is starting to let go of the dead weight.
