Wandy was a rookie back in 05 when the Astros went to the World Seires and eventualy got swept by the Chicago WhiteSox. That year he posted a 10-10 record with a 5.53 ERA, not too bad for a rookie. He went on to post a 9-10 record and a 5.64 ERA in 06 and a 9-13 record with a 4.58 ERA so u can see hes a 9-10 kinda guy, and our ace. He is the only remaining player or coach from the 05 season and so he brings veteran leadership and experiance to the team, but no one knows for how long. Many have argued he is the best player we have to offer in a trade for good prospects to help rebuild the already horrible farm system so this may very well be his first and last start for the Astros on Opening Day.
