Joe Avezzano Dead at 68

Joe Avezzano has passed away today at the age of 68 in Italy. Avezzano reportedly was working out on a treadmill when he suffered a heart attack. He was recently hired as the head coach of the Milano Seamen of the Italian Football League, but was most notably known for being the Special Teams coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He was apart of the Barry Switzer Cowboy team who won it all in 96' beating the Steelers 27-17 and was great at making good players into superstars on special teams for example Bill Bates. Bates along with many other Cowboys fans was hit hard with the news of Avezzanos unexpected death. Jerry Jones released a statement on the passing of Avezzano, "Joe Avezzano was a very special part of our Dallas Cowboys family and our organization's history. He was also a wonderful father, husband and friend, no one enjoyed life more than Joe, and no one that I know had a greater appreciation for the people that he loved and the lives that he touched. We grieve with Diann and Tony and the thousands of fans who loved Coach Joe. He was an original. There was no one else like him."
